HISTORY OF MUSEUM
In 1998 the Inyo Register newspaper wrote an article about a "Museum seeks a little TLC" describing how the Darwin Museum was at a cross-road and need help to survive. Rather than lose this valuable historic resource, a group of local residents from Southern Inyo County lead by Marlene Cierniak moved what was left of the Darwin Museum,
or The New Coso Heritage Society, Inc., to Lone Pine for greater access
by the public.

We have books of the cemeteries in the Southern Inyo end of the County which we are continually attempting to keep updated. If anyone has information on anyone buried in any of the cemeteries, as obituaries, we would be glad to have them to include in our information books.
